Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Ovia South-West, Edo. You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
