Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Ilorin West, Kwara State. Day-to-day duties: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
