Foundry operative wanted in Jim Wells County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Jim Wells County, Texas. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Overtime paid at a premium rate.
