Sample machinist — Cape Girardeau County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day to day you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
