Vacancy available: steam press operator (Northern Ireland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steam press operator in Antrim and Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. The job is in a garment export house. You will clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; give each garment a final press before packing; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. Ideal candidate: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. We offer £2,550 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
