Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Baca County, Colorado. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
