Bar bender and fixer — Carteret County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Carteret County, North Carolina. Your main tasks: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
