Argon arc welder • Inverclyde, Scotland

Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Inverclyde, Scotland. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
