Vacancy available: gtaw welder (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Southampton County, Virginia. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
