Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Delaware County, Iowa. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching You will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
