Steel fixing chargehand wanted in Nicholas County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Nicholas County, Kentucky. The job is on a busy residential building site. The role involves check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
