Immediate opening: we are hiring a bench joiner in Henderson County, North Carolina. The job is in a cabinet-making workshop. On the job you will handle: • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
