UPVC welding machine operator • Grand Traverse County, Michigan

Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. You will work at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits 2+ years on the tools preferred. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
