Furnace operator wanted in Umuahia North

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Umuahia North, Abia State. You will be based on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 2+ years on the tools preferred.
