Gantry crane operator wanted in Pennington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Pennington County, South Dakota. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) The role involves: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports Six days a week, one day off.
