Stainless steel welder • Franklin County, Vermont

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Franklin County, Vermont. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends.
