Steel fixing chargehand — Loudoun County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Loudoun County, Virginia. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Day-to-day duties: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
