Now hiring: we are hiring a moulder in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards The role involves: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
