Now hiring: we are hiring an ironing operator in Allen Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a tailoring workshop. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases On a typical shift you will remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
