Now hiring: cement mason (Indiana)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a cement mason in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Day-to-day duties: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
