Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Butte County, California. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Day to day you will install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around $31 per hour, based on your experience.
