Road roller operator wanted in Lake and Peninsula Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a road roller operator in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. The job is on an earthmoving and excavation site. Your main tasks: • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift What we are looking for: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
