Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in San Benito County, California. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level You will bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions.
