Reinforcement steel fixer — Belmont County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Belmont County, Ohio. On a typical shift you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
