HVAC installer — Lake and Peninsula Borough

Join our team: we are hiring a HVAC installer in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a refrigeration and cooling firm. Day-to-day duties: • Commission the unit and test cooling, heating and airflow • Cut, flare and bend copper pipe for the liquid and suction lines • Evacuate the system with a vacuum pump and confirm a deep vacuum • Fault-find on PCBs, sensors and compressors with a multimeter • Wire the indoor-to-outdoor interconnecting cable and connect the isolator • Recover the refrigerant before dismantling or relocating a unit Requirements: • ITI in refrigeration and air conditioning an advantage • 2+ years hands-on split and cassette AC installation experience • Can read electrical and piping schematics At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
