Glass and glazing technician — Jefferson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a glass and glazing technician in Jefferson County, Mississippi. You will be based in a shopfront glazing company. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a glazier or glass fitter • Physically fit, able to stand and lift throughout the shift • Able to cut glass accurately to size On a typical shift you will apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass; install mirrors, shower screens and glass balustrades; secure glass with glazing beads, clips and points; handle large panes using suction cups and a lifting frame; grind and polish cut edges to take off the sharp arris; install toughened and laminated safety glass. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $2,500 per project, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
