Incoming goods inspector — Tioga County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an incoming goods inspector in Tioga County, New York. Day-to-day duties: • Operate height gauges, profile projectors and coordinate measuring tools • Inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting • Check visually for scratches, dents, burrs and colour variation • Check packaging, labelling and barcode accuracy before dispatch • Carry out first-article and in-process checks on the production line You should have: • Able to stand for full shifts on the production floor • Good eyesight and colour vision for visual inspection • Confident using vernier callipers, micrometers and gauges Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
