Steam press operator • Pitt County, North Carolina

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steam press operator in Pitt County, North Carolina. You will be based in a garment export house. The role involves: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Give each garment a final press before packing • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine 4+ years on the tools preferred.
