Tailor machinist — Durham County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Durham County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy garment factory. On the job you will handle: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,000 per month, based on your experience. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
