Meat trimmer — East Baton Rouge Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a meat trimmer in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a supermarket meat department. On a typical shift you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled. What we are looking for: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
