You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage You will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise.
