Reinforcement steel fixer — Dakota County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Dakota County, Minnesota. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates The role involves cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers.
