Join our team: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Aberdeen City, Scotland. You will work at an automotive components factory. The role involves: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control You should have: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls Overtime paid at a premium rate.
