Argon arc welder wanted in Doncaster

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Doncaster, England. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
