Pipe tig welder wanted in Garvin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Garvin County, Oklahoma. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Your main tasks: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper We offer $16 per hour plus benefits.
