You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Day-to-day duties: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job 5+ years on the tools preferred.
