Great opportunity: argon welding operator (Kansas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Thomas County, Kansas. On the job you will handle: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
