The role involves: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Part-time with flexible hours.
