Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Forest County, Wisconsin. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
