Vacancy available: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Oneida County, New York. The job is in a garment export house. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Day to day you will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
