Occupational health and safety officer — Hancock County

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Hancock County, Indiana. The job is in a chemical processing unit. You should have: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Day-to-day duties: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
