Brickwork mason — Galveston County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Galveston County, Texas. The job is on a commercial construction site. You will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Ideal candidate: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
