Now hiring: we are hiring a civil works labourer in Travis County, Texas. The job is on a metro and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Day-to-day duties: • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
