Now hiring: HVAC-R technician (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a HVAC-R technician in Rockland County, New York. The job is at a supermarket cold-chain site. Your main tasks: • Fault-find control boards and defrost timers • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight Requirements: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
