Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc turner in Montgomery County, Iowa. You will be based in a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles. Requirements: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
