Fire and safety officer — Vermilion County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Vermilion County, Illinois. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Day to day you will update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports.
