Great opportunity: precision welder (Wales)

Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in County of Flintshire, Wales. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. On a typical shift you will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Full-time with occasional weekends.
