Gas metal arc welder — Baltimore County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Baltimore County, Maryland. The job is on a structural steel site. Day to day you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 4+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
