Wheel loader operator • Shiawassee County, Michigan

Great opportunity: we are hiring a wheel loader operator in Shiawassee County, Michigan. You will work in an open-cast mine. Your main tasks: • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook Requirements: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
