Tig welder wanted in Currituck County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Currituck County, North Carolina. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
